circus re:farm
welcome to the circus farm :)
just in the middle of the historical centre of tarragona lies this refarm project. the name came from the ruins that are under us, the roman circus. this place was donated by the City Council of Tarragona fruit of festival ciutatscreactives.net
the circus farm is intended as a meeting point for finding a model sustainable city which implies questioning the use of energy, material and waste, food production, experiments and measure results to disseminate knowledge and redirect them to a benefit for our environment.
in this re:farm we can rethink solutions, put them to test, learn and of course, be a place to share experiences, a place where both residents and citizens can participate in this laboratory of thought and action.

benvinguts a l’hort del circ, un espai cedit per l’ajuntament de tarragona durant el festival ciutatscreactives.net 2011. el projecte està dirigit per refarmthecity.org, col•lectiu que es dedica a investigar eines de codi lliure per agricultors urbans que busquen un equilibri entre ciutat i medi ambient.
l’hort del circ pretén ser un punt de trobada per la recerca d’un model de ciutat més sostenible. el què implica qüestionar-se l’ús de l’energia, de les matèries i dels residus, la producció d’aliments, fer experiments i medir resultats per difondre coneixements i reconduir-los per a un benefici del nostre entorn.
per què un hort? creiem que a partir de l’ hort ens podem replantejar solucions, posar-les a prova, aprendre’n, i, com no, esdevenir un espai per compartir experiències. per tant vol ser un lloc on tant veïns com ciutadans d’arreu, puguin ser particeps d’aquest laboratori de pensament i acció.
