we meet every wednesday and thursday around 8pm at the nycr.
send us an email to ny{at}refarmthecity{dot}org if you want to join us.

Andes Weekend 11&12 September 2010
- John, Mark, Hernani & Julie drive up Saturday morning.
- Finish installing doors on bottom of composter, its sensors, and the wireless for the house to upload temperature readings online.
- Sunday is rainy so we assemble sensors and finish Vacations board.
Meeting Minutes 8&9 September 2010
- NYCR farm: We’ll plant lettuce in the on-site container next week
- Boards: We’re mobilizing a bulk order for parts to complete the boards. Please compare your board to this and itemize what you are missing, sending them to Jon. You will have to pay for these items, but we’ll clear the amount with you before making the purchase. Please respect the deadline of next Thursday (16-Sept) to submit your orders. Please attend the Weds & Thurs meetings if you are confused about any of this & bring your board!
- Programming 101: Future meetings will be spent teaching how to program/use the boards, Arduino, etc. (Maybe) a lesson plan and online notes will be posted…
- Berardo’s table: Berardo shared a beautiful design with us. It is a 3-D table with sunken sections to show/interact with the varying stages of growth & decomposition. A section for seedlings, compost, blossoming fruit, etc. (This may not be a perfect description). He also provided a list of materials and a budget.
- On Thursday we soldered boards.
Meeting Minutes – 1&2 September 2010
Resistor Garden Ideas
- Location (potentials)

- skylight above the stage in the workshop
- Container (potential)

* There was discussion as to whether we want this NYCResistor garden to be more conceptual or more practical or a planned-out combination of the two.
HOMEWORK: Design a present a concept for next week’s meeting (TBD), wherein we will start making the garden within NYC Resistor.
