Today being green is a nightmare. everywere are advertises of eco, bio, sustainable, recycled, reused, re-friki-local.. and all you want to do is save some coins, eat fresh, make some new friends and not contribute to any major environmental damage on the opposite point of your only planet :) we propose to build 2 mobile applications. one to help you on producing your own food and another to take sustainable consumer decisions based on your location.
Description
Urban agriculture raises the quantity and quality of fresh food to the cities, promotes intergenerational exchanges, cultural and gastronomic mixes, building nodes of solidarity and finantial independency.
The new technologies, the mobile computing, datasets and the web makes nowadays possible a better manadgement of the local resources and the built of a collective knowledged around the food.
With the objective of make easier the life of the urban farmer/eco consumer I propose to develop the following tools
tool for the urban farmer
- monitor map of air, soil and water
- get kits of soil, water analisis
- calendar of farm managing acording to local conditions
- visualizing local vegetable varieties and their caracteristics
- acess to seed banks
- climate and bugs alert
tool for a sustainable consumption
- list of restaurants ecological and social responsible.
- list of private/public cuisines that have available seats to the community members
- access to the local urban farmers, availability of requested vegetable, email/twitter
- access to public store-rooms from community members
- access to small farmers/producers of the community with sourpuss of production
- access to consumer coops with open calls
- access to CSA with open calls
