BEIJING

Re:farm the City is growing in Beijing. Two farms have been started at Tsinghua University and HomeShop. The Tsinghua farm, started in January 2011, will grow spinach and soy beans. Currently under construction, the rooftop farm at HomeShop will act as Re:farm Beijing’s hub – hosting workshops, discussions, film screenings, and cooking classes. The farm will produce fruit and vegetables starting this spring, planting will begin at the end of March.

Join the farm:
- Donate your time, knowledge or skills – host a workshop, give us advice on our garden or just stop by
- Join our garden – get your hands dirty – help us plant, build and harvest
- Start your own – we’ll help you plan
- Give us your trash – soil, seeds, used building materials, wood, ceramic/metal/glass/bamboo containers
- Help us compost – save your kitchen scraps
